“The Craigslist Killer” movie, based on a true story, will be playing starting Tonight on Lifetime channel at 9pm ET . Jake McDorman stars as the ‘Craigslist killer,’ better known as Philip Markoff, who was accused of killing a masseuse in Boston.
The movie tells the story of Phillip Markoff who was studying at Boston University to become a doctor, but has a secret life as “the Craigslist killer”. He also had a beautiful fiancée named Megan who initially stood by him at the time of the murder. When the police find cases of Craigslist masseuse girls that got murdered, all of them lead them to Philip Markoff.
Police said he had found his victim and other women who were abused through the Craigslist site of people, products and services. Markoff eventually committed suicide while in jail awaiting trial.
